The details

Fees listed above include the updated CCFRI fee reductions, which came into effect September 2023.

Our preschool starts the Monday after public school commences in September and ends the week before public school closes in June. As well we observe the same holidays, winter break and spring break. Our school does not close on SD 61 professional development days.

For the 3's class, children must be turning three years old by the end of the calendar year. We accept enrolment beginning on September 1st of the calendar year when your child turns 2 year old.

Each family is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $105 to secure your spot.

Eligible families can apply for the Affordable Child Care Benefit to reduce fees. Please contact us if you have questions or need help applying.

Your application information is secure and subject to the terms of our Privacy Policy. If you fill out our registration form and no space is available, you will then be placed on a waitlist. We will email you once we have space available.

  • Full vs. Limited Participation

Full Participation families assign one parent to volunteer for regularly assigned 'duty days' in the classroom. Limited Participation families do not have 'duty days', but like Full families, still have a family job and attend monthly membership meetings.

  • It's all included

Fees include field trips, guest speakers, a red Gonzales Preschool t-shirt, a class yearbook, and membership in the Vancouver Island Cooperative Preschool Association.

  • Gradual entry

September is a month of gradual entry. This means in order to help children ease into our preschool day, and gradually transition from home, we begin with shorter preschool sessions but within two weeks we are into full length classes.

Learning through play, naturally.
