Susan and Angela are keen to start our upcoming year with your children and families.  It is such an exciting time for everyone! We are a great team and together have a wealth of knowledge and experience (including Reggio-Emilia, Montessori and Waldorf educational philosophies) and enjoy providing engaging spaces for our preschoolers to learn through play. This time in your child’s life is going to fly by and we look forward to including you in their wonderful preschool journey. 

Angela Paletta-Haslam is our wonderful and dedicated Early Childhood Educator & Preschool Manager. She was first introduced to cooperative preschools as a parent of two daughters and has been hooked ever since. Angela has been working with children in the classroom and the community for over 25 years, and with Gonzales Co-op Preschool since 2010. With a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care and an ECE certificate, Angela brings an incredible mix of skill, knowledge and passion to the children and families of Gonzales Preschool. When she’s not at preschool, Angela loves sharing food and nature adventures with her husband, two teenage daughters and their dog. 

Susan Parkin, our ECE Assistant, brings cheerful energy, warmth, and wisdom to our classroom. She has her Early Childhood Education and Montessori Teaching Certificates and has enjoyed working with children and families for over 30 years! With years of experience in different types of child care and preschool settings Susan believes that in the early years, play is an essential part in the growth and development of children. Susan loves sharing her Montessori methods with our preschoolers. Gonzales Co-operative Preschool is pleased that Susan has been with our community since 2017. When she’s at home Susan loves playing games, both board and online, with her husband and daughter.
